It’s my great honor to congratulate Noopur Davis, our Senior Vice President and Chief Product and Information Security Officer, for winning the prestigious 2018 WICT/SCTE-ISBE Women in Technology award. Noopur embodies a rare combination of technological brilliance and motivational leadership that drives her teams to deliver tremendous results in one of our industry’s most challenging disciplines.
Presented once a year by WICT (Women in Cable Telecommunications) and SCTE-ISBE (The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers and the International Society of Broadband Experts), the Women in Technology award honors an individual who embodies the qualities we value most in our industry.
Noopur joined Comcast in 2016 from Intel to lead the team focused on evolving a full-lifecycle approach to product security and privacy, which embeds security and privacy throughout the development process, from product inception to end of life. Since then, her role has expanded to include cybersecurity leadership across the enterprise.
WICT takes special note of the groundbreaking work Noopur and her teams have done in the use of blockchain for IoT security, in building streaming security data integration platforms, and in using machine learning to build models for early threat detection. She’s also been a leader in Comcast’s adoption of DevSecOps, which integrates cybersecurity into the DevOps development process.
Beyond her extensive technology and business accomplishments, Noopur has also distinguished herself as a champion and mentor of women at every level of her team and our technology organization more broadly. Noopur leads in this area both by example and hands-on mentorship and has played a key role in our mission to create and nurture a diverse and inclusive technology workforce.
I’m proud to call Noopur a colleague and friend, and would like to extend my deepest thanks to WICT and SCTE-ISBE for recognizing her leadership.
